Pata de Perro was born out of a desire to share the treasures of our city and country – the food, the parks, the scenery, and experiences that might be hard to stumble upon independently. At PDP, our hope is that you'll leave with unique stories, lasting memories, and perhaps even deep discussions sparked by what we learn, taste and experience. Our guides are local friends, hospitable souls who passionately and proudly share their stories and those of the communities we visit during these experiences.
Pata de Perro in Mexico means a wanderlust, but we also believe it means positively losing yourself in our Mexican world, in our narratives, and without a strict agenda, allowing yourself to create stories of growth through travel, learning, and friendship. About Gabriel
PDP Founder and Director
Gabriel's passion lies in strolling through the streets and neighborhoods of Mexico City (CDMX). Living here, he would wander with visiting friends, leading them to fun markets, cantinas, wrestling matches, his favorite tacos and parties. He shares tales of the city he lives in, loves, and believes has been shaped by all the stories and people that have inhabited this location and continues to be molded into this vast, chaotic, yet organized melting pot brimming with culture, spectacular cuisine, and interesting people inside and out.
Gabriel is an architect by profession, specialized in design and construction project management. In 2012, after being fed up with the corporate world, he founded Pata de Perro out of his active interest in tourism focused on the quirky, the authentic, and the unique attention provided by private tours for a small bed and breakfast. From there, an idea, a service, and a passion were born, one that continues to grow.
